To those who care for music history in the southeast, the Top Cafe in Huntsville, Alabama was considered a legendary venue that arguably paralleled NYC’s iconic club CBGB in memory. Bold statement, yes - but if you care for rock history, you should read up on Huntsville’s own claim to historical fame. While there are no million-dollar biopics or New York Times bestsellers out yet telling the Tip Top’s tale, Matt Wake of AL.com has documented the venue’s history in an excellent article published in 2016. Or you can dive into the first-hand accounts on the Facebook group I Remember The Tip Top Cafe.
Given the venue’s history and meaning to Huntsville locals, we are proud to put on the Tip Top’s first rock show in over 20 years. We will be joining Soul Karnival on December 31st to celebrate the New Year with our fan-favorite SoulMacho show. Come get your groove on, rock with us, and be part of history. Check out Matt Wake’s new article for AL.com covering this opening event (look Ma, I made the papers!)
After two and a half years of writing, recording, mixing, stressing, life giving us the good and bad - all the while having each others’ backs through thick and thin.. We finally release these songs into the world today.
We are not currently backed by a manager of any kind, booker, promoter, label or company; Just ourselves, our fellow artists, and the people who enjoy our music and believe in us.
We truly feel this album has as much depth, passion, meaning, story, beauty, joy, pain & heart as any other band who has the honor of having millions of fans.
A lot can be said about the meaning and making of this album. Maybe one day we will.
For now, we just want you to hear it and enjoy it.
Thank you for listening, the support, and love.
Joe was interviewed by Cristina Byrne of WHNT on what music he has been inspired by recently. Go take a look at WHNT’s website - link to the article here:

We made 2ND PLACE at Shoals City Showdown! And we did as we promised- we gave them a SHOW. So proud of us. Congratulations to @theburneysisters for taking 1st place, @kevinpadronn for taking 3rd, and so much respect to
@marissalunaofficial & Thad Saajid! We're receiving some great prizes for our placing and it's all for what's next in the world of Camacho. Thanks for supporting in all this. So much more to come- and thanks a ton @austinbrent for rocking with us on this night.
From @shoalscityshowdown on Instagram:
After listening to our Round 3 Submissions, @tieramusic and @carvercommodore chose Camacho as their "Judge's Pick" for the Artistry Round.
As the winners, @camacho.band has won a photoshoot with the ever so talented Lily Martin and a $200 gift card to Counts Brothers Music.
Huge thanks to everyone involved up to this point! It obviously takes a village and we're so very thankful to be a part of this one:)
Holy crap. We worked hard on our Bad Romance cover and had a lot of fun making it - but we never expected this! Thank you so much to the judges for this recognition - it is an honor! And thank you especially to our friends and fans for your support. We love you guys so much.
Catch us at the finale in Muscle Shoals on October 12th at the Vivian Theatre. We couldn’t have gotten there without you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for getting us this far. We feel so loved from the outpour of support. Together, Camacho voters raised over $1,200 for the Shoals Dream Center - an organization that fed over 20,000 people in need just the last year alone.
We’ve made it to Round 3, and have one more round of voting before the live finale at the Vivian Theatre in Muscle Shoals!
But we aren’t there yet - you have until Friday to vote for us again at shoalscityshowdown.org.
Thank you so much again to everyone who voted for us in the last round, and everyone who has voted in Round 3 so far. It means the world to us.
We chose the pop classic "Bad Romance" from one of my personal all-time heroes, Lady Gaga. As a band, we've been shaped by our collective tastes spanning all genres, so it took diving deep into our hearts to choose what song would be best.
Gaga has inspired me throughout my life and I appreciate the road she's paved for modern music; The current pop culture landscape would be much more bland if she hadn't stepped in. When she did, every artist was forced to pay attention - not only for her brilliance, but she used her inspirations to revive abstract and glam art within pop and added a whole new dimension to artistry. She's the queen.
Our rendition of "Bad Romance" took form in our storage-unit-turned-practice-space. We put our hearts into this and tried to give back as much energy as Gaga has given us
