New Years at Huntsville, AL’s Iconic Tip Top Cafe

To those who care for music history in the southeast, the Top Cafe in Huntsville, Alabama was considered a legendary venue that arguably paralleled NYC’s iconic club CBGB in memory. Bold statement, yes - but if you care for rock history, you should read up on Huntsville’s own claim to historical fame. While there are no million-dollar biopics or New York Times bestsellers out yet telling the Tip Top’s tale, Matt Wake of AL.com has documented the venue’s history in an excellent article published in 2016. Given the venue’s history and meaning to Huntsville locals, we are proud to put on the Tip Top’s first rock show in over 20 years.
